EITHER WAY / ABOUT

GOOD TEA. NO COMPLICATIONS.

We are used to choosing tea for its taste and aroma. But there is another side to it.

There is tea we reach for in the morning, another we prefer during a long day of work, and another we save for quiet moments when we want to be alone with ourselves. We notice how our attention shifts, how we experience the body, and how differently time seems to pass over the same cup of tea.

At either way, we explore this side of tea drinking. We bring personal experience into conversation with historical sources, and experiment with tea alongside meditation, breathwork, and movement practices.

We are not looking for universal formulas. Quite the opposite — we are interested in how differently the same tea can be experienced by different people.

For us, every tea is another way to discover something about tea — and perhaps something about ourselves.

We’ll be sharing more of what we find along the way — stories, sources, old texts, and our own tea experiments, all in a simple, easy-to-read format.

We trace what historical sources say about tea and its use in practice, identifying whether a passage concerns a particular tea, its family or tea more broadly. Alongside those records, we share our own proposals and experiences with meditation, yoga and tai chi, during a tea session or afterwards.

Begin with a simple brewing experiment, or read how our order requests work.
